Film Overview

The biggest fear of any stage actor is being on stage and suddenly forgetting their lines or not even knowing what play they're in. What happens when that nightmare becomes the reality? Caris Corfman was a prized graduate of the Yale School of Drama and a well-respected, professional actress on the brink of stardom when she was found to have a brain tumor. The subsequent surgery to remove the tumor left her without the ability to retain new memories. CARIS' PEACE is the story of Corfman's struggle with depression and the tribulations of living a normal life. Gaylen Ross with Rebecca Nelson have created this powerful documentary which provides an intimate look into the fearless pursuit of Corfman's life's work—the creation of her own one-woman show dealing with the repercussions of her surgery. CARIS' PEACE takes you for a ride of highs and lows; but most of all, it provides a glimpse of the courage necessary to face your biggest fears. Interviews with Tony Shalhoub, Lewis Black, Kate Burton, and many more. – T.W.
