About This Film
Film Overview
No film better exemplifies the classic traditions of the “Hollywood movie” than does Warner Brothers' CASABLANCA, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary. Humphrey Bogart stars as Rick, the cynical and arrogant owner of the Cafe Americain in Casablanca. He's been weeping in his whiskey since Occupation Day, when Ingrid Bergman left him alone in Paris. Unexpectedly, Bergman and her Resistance leader husband arrive in Casablanca, and must rely on Rick to get them out safely. Nobly rejoining the fight, Rick must give up Bergman again. Beautiful new 35mm prints have been struck, and ours will be coming direct from the lab! If you've never seen this splendid, briskly-paced, 3-Oscar classic, or if you've seen it a dozen times, this is a rare opportunity. Don't miss it
