About This Film
Film Overview
A must for all disciples of Christo-anity, this marks the artist's fourth collaboration with the Measles brothers. Earlier works covered Christi?s 24 mile long “Running Fence” in California, and his “Valley Curtain” strung across Rifle Gap, Colorado. CHRISTO IN PARIS finds the artist on home ground, in a ten year effort to wrap the city's oldest bridge in beige fabric with local reaction ranging from joy to outrage. We get to know Christo, his East Bloc background, and his enduring, unlikely marriage to a French general's daughter. Preceded by TWINSBURG, OHIO.? SOME KIND OF WEIRD TWIN THING, a meditation by filmmaker and former Clevelander Sue Marcoux on her visit to the Twins Days festival with her often?estranged and surprisingly dissimilar twin sister. Touching on codependence and loss of identity, it's miles ahead of the usual TV?news Twins Days filler.
