Film Overview
Within moments of the start you know that DAYS OF BEING WILD is going to be not just good, but sensationally good. The dreamy, languorous tone that floats through the film's precise, hard-edge images of Hong Kong in 1960 is like nothing you've ever seen or felt before. An affluent young playboy tires of casual affairs and leaves for Manila to find his mother. He leaves behind the soft drinks vendor who's been fool enough to fall in love with him, the good-time girl who fell on bad times, the tender cop who'd rather be a sailor, and the sidekick who never dreamed he'd get the girl or the car but did anyway. Winner Of Hong Kong “Oscars” for Best Picture, Best Screenplay, and Best Actor. -Vancouver International Film Festival.
