Film Overview

When empty-nester Janice finds out that her husband is cheating on her with his secretary, (how original), she decides to bring back the spark by putting her years of practice with precise planning to work, only this time it’s for murder, not soccer practice. Although there is very little Janice can’t pull off on her own, she needs a partner to make Doug vanish like ‘a happy little accident’. In comes Manny, who’s never been called ‘Mr Hitman’ or forced to try red wine before. But that’s what happens when you mess up in the mob and are left taking jobs from suburban housewives. With Janice trying to run the show and Manny trying to keep the murder clean, we follow this unlikely duo through comical settings including a wine tasting, a hot yoga class, a spa and more because Janice loves her groupons. Eventually, we arrive at Doug’s office. The murder is planned, but the execution must be perfect. It’s two perfectionists, why wouldn’t it be? But wait, is the dimwitted, baked-goods loving, Doug really cheating or is there something fishier at play? Amongst the chaos of a busy office space, and an intern whose only goal is to get the bloody printer working, Janice’s plan goes completely haywire, until a different, unexpected ‘happy little accident’ occurs. Through this action comedy, we’re exploring the humor in murder amidst a mundane couple’s joint mid-life crisis. And, we’re trying to make you laugh.
