Full of humor and tenderness, ELSA, ELSA is charming behind-the-scenes look at filmmaking, a la DAY FOR NIGHT. Ferdinand (Francois Cluzet, 'ROUND MIDNIGHT) is a 30-year-old filmmaker in the prcess of writing and directing a film about his early life as a child movie actor. But all he can think of is how to get his actess girlfriend, Elsa, to come back to him. Soon his film becomes a mixture of the past and the present and he hires an actess to play the role of Elsa. The film-within-the film's script gets complicated when the real Elsa pops in to watch the fun!
