Film Overview

ENCHANTED APRIL is a classically British comedy about female rebellion set in the early 1920s. On a rainy winter day in London, Lottie and Rose, two married women, read a newspaper ad offering an Italian villa for rent during the month of April. The prospect is overwhelming and impossible, but to both women the chance to leave their dull lives for a month becomes irresistible. Through their own ad, they find two other women, one a wealthy Victorian widow, the other a beautiful young socialite, who will share the holiday expenses. Thus begins a journey to glorious Italy, without cares, without responsibilities, and without husbands- at least for a while. The film will leave you in no doubt of 'the spell cast by the magic of Italy.
