End of the Trail

With a theme that remains timely even 50 years after its release, this strong drama is about the return of soldiers from the Spanish-American War. Tim McCoy plays one of these men who, unable to find a job when he gets back home, eventually falls in with a group of rustlers. The film's unusual tragic ending is ahead of its time and makes a tremendous statement on the problems faced by soldiers returning home from and unpopular war.
