About This Film
Film Overview
Now, class, bear in mind that a flash point is the lowest temperature at which a flammable liquid can form an ignitable mixture in air. Fans of Chinese martial arts action choreography already know flashy Kung Fu movie star Donnie Yen. His final fight against Jet Li in “Once Upon a Time in China II” includes one of the highest-octane sequences in martial arts films. In FLASH POINT, the hot-headed, often airborne Donnie Yenis featured as Inspector Ma, a hardscrabble Hong Kong cop who does whatever it takes to smack down bad guys. He clashes with a trio of Vietnamese mobsters who'll stop at absolutely nothing to defend their turf. Ma is called on the carpet by his police bosses — it seems he's busting too many heads while trying to bring goons to justice. Meanwhile, his partner, Wilson, an undercover operative infiltrating the Vietnamese gang, is in danger. Wilson's information leads to the arrest of gang boss, Archer, and the remaining members start eliminating witnesses. When they finally realize Wilson is the mole, they go to extremes so he won't testify at Archer's trial. Ma comes out with pistols blazing to blast his partner free in an amazing display of mixed martial arts action. (In Cantonese and Mandarin with English subtitles) – BB
