Film Overview

The same team that created ?Winged Migration? and ?Microcosmos? flies way beyond geese and deeper than cells in their latest feature. In GENESIS they take on the story of nothing less than the birth of the universe. In this vivid vision of origins, the narrator is an African griot (a traditional storyteller) who tells the tale of time, matter, birth, and death through the language of myth and fable. They may seem like chapters of a tall tale, but the birth of our world is an event-filled saga of gas and steam, hot lava and cooling rain in which the descendants of our emergence from the waters ? the animals ? interpret the story for us. Expect gorgeous photography and fantastic illustrations of the gases and matter that gave birth to the Earth, and all the various stages of this, the beautiful blue third rock from the sun.
