About This Film
Film Overview
In the opening sequence, we meet the nameless protagonist in an improbable situation. He is visited by Marianne, a talkative woman who keeps coming in the evenings– right before he turns in for the night– when she sits down to talk. He has two choices: throw her out or try to adjust to his newfound circumstance. Instead of turning away Marianne, he decides she just might be the answer to the illusive love he's been searching for. He accepts her as his girlfriend and begins his quest to discover, understand, and conquer love. His best resource in this pursuit is his swimming partner, Glenn, who doles out relationship advice in a style that is both comical and pragmatic. But it's not easy with the semi-psychotic, always unpredictable Marianne. He is in for a ride, literally. They decide to take a vacation- a train trip through Europe- and on it he finds that love might be closer than he thinks. But is it with Marianne? GONE WITH THE WOMAN is a fantastic romp through the ups and downs of love and the even greater enigma that is woman. (In Norwegian with English subtitles) –CCP
