Film Overview

As the title suggests, HENRY- PORTRAIT OF A, SERIAL KILLER examines the life and crimes of a fictional sociopath. While remotely similar to slasher films in the horror genre, two unique points of view set HENRY worlds apart from any FRIDAY THE 13 TH installment: A) that murder is in no way a form of entertainment, and B) that true horror walks openly among us every day of our lives. Thus HENRY becomes, intentionally, a deeply disturbing film. Its stark, low-key style, violent script, and first-rate acting remove any trace of Hollywood fun or 'midnight madness,' exhibiting instead the real terror of murder. HENRY polarizes audiences. At recent screenings, many people have walked out, disturbed to the point of outrage by the emotions that the film evokes. But others, for the same reasons, hail the film as an astonishing achievement.
