Film Overview

HOUSE OF TIME begins with a group of buddies who have been mysteriously summoned to the remote castle of their zany friend, Robert. There, he tells them about studies he's been conducting on a Nazi time travel program, headed by an SS Quantum Physicist named Hans Kimmler. Robert is certain that by following Kimmler's plans, he has developed a device that will transport them back 70 years to 1944. After an impassioned speech, his friends look at each other puzzled, with one of them quipping, “Cut out the coke, Robert.” But, when the clock strikes 11:57, Robert presses the button, insisting they are no longer in the present. As events unfold, they are convinced he has hired actors to go along with his goofy game. Eventually, they begin to wonder if it is indeed an elaborate hoax, or if they have truly experienced a rift in the space-time continuum. Part sci-fi, part “Clue,” and doused with just the right blend of tongue-in-cheek comedy, this film is probably the most fun you'll ever have at a World War II movie. (In French with subtitles) –E.F.
