About This Film
Film Overview
U.S. PREMIERE Twenty years have passed since Andrew’s testimony sealed his brother’s fate of a life behind bars. Andrew’s been gone ever since, his family left toiling in grief for one son’s punishment and the other’s betrayal. Now, with the possibility of his brother’s early release, Andrew reluctantly returns home after months of unanswered court summons requesting he vouch for his brother’s rehabilitation. His secret homecoming is short-lived when he crosses paths with his promiscuous teenage niece and furious sister who will never bring herself to forgive him. Andrew has a choice. He can do nothing, ensuring his brother will pay for the rest of his life for the deadly crime of which he was convicted. Or he can choose to make peace with his family so they can all finally begin to heal. Director Rachel Lambert blends harsh resentment, sexual intrigue, and suspense to make IN THE RADIANT CITY an unforgettably dark drama of a family haunted by the sins of the past. —A.B.
