When Josh and Renai hire a psychiatrist and a group of paranormal scientists to help get their son back, they learn about Dalton's ability to astral project himself and realize that he is trapped in a paranormal hell known as “The Further,” where he is tormented by the wicked spirit that captured him. A spine-tingling thriller of a film, INSIDIOUS also carries with it just the right amount of horror-class humor, greatly enhancing its entertainment value and securing its place among the recent wave of cult horror films. – M.M.
