About This Film
Film Overview
Twenty-year-old Alex lives in a lower-class suburb of a big city and supports her unemployed family by dealing in illegal weapons. She's the only girl in an all-guy, all-social-misfit gang, where she's treated like one of the boys. Like her fellow gangmembers, Alex has become accustomed to going through daily life in constant danger of killing and being killed. But for all her exterior toughness, she would like to be different with Javi, on whom she has a secret crush. The aimlessness and violence of this way of life begin to trougble Alex and she considers abondoning it and moving away. But events overtake her: she has only a day and a half to decide. “A stark, girpping film that cunningly manipulates the audience and is filled with moments of horror….Still, VOID works on a deeper, more human level and can't easily be dismissed as just another exercise in bloodletting…”
