About This Film
Film Overview
KISS ME is an improbable love story set in stylishly appointed grey Swedish interiors and on the ruggedly beautiful Baltic coast. An extended family is celebrating the upcoming wedding of Elizabeth and Lasse, successful professionals of about 60 with adult children from their first marriages. Lasse's daughter Mia, whom he hasn't seen in years, arrives at the party with her fiancé Tim. Elizabeth's luminous daughter Frida is also attending the wine-soaked soiree. Since their daughters will soon be stepsisters, Elizabeth and Lasse make efforts to get them acquainted. This is especially awkward for Mia, who can't stand her father and wants to get on with her life. But when Mia grudgingly spends a weekend with Elizabeth and Frida at their family cottage, she discovers to her surprise that she feels strong emotions for Frida. Despite the intensely erotic moments they share together, Mia continues to deny her passion for Frida. The thought that she might love a woman has turned her tidy world upside down. (In Swedish with subtitles) – B.B.
