Film Overview

As an autistic teenager with dwarfism, bright and creative Kit is struggling to get by in an ableist world. His sisters are the only people who know who he truly is, but they could never understand what he goes through – the staring, the laughing, the bullying – even his own mother can’t help. Trapped in her own torment of unrealistic beauty standards that are slipping from her grasp as she ages, having a dwarf son doesn’t fit the mould. She hides Kit away whenever the men in her life come to visit, whether it’s because she’s embarrassed of him or concerned for him is unclear… but it hurts Kit every time.

One day, Kit decides enough is enough. He’s passionate about drawing and has a dream that he’s going to pursue ‘til the end. With a little nudge from his older and rebellious sister, Lucy, and with a constant and innocent adoration from his little sister, Poppy, Kit takes his drawings to an open-door pitch for animators to join a prestigious animation company. When he’s there, he finds a world that welcomes him in. Ultimately, it is Kit who will set himself free with his courage, talent and passion. And along the way? …He’ll show the haters what’s what.
