After years in ISIS captivity, where she was bought and sold as a sex slave, Mediha (a young Yazidi girl) grapples with her trauma and the loss of her family members, including her parents and younger brother, who are still among the 3,000 missing. Composed of a series of video diaries, intimate reflections, and footage of the investigations and attempted rescues still taking place to bring her family home, MEDIHA is a profoundly moving documentary that captures the complexity of the deep grief and resilient hope of the Yazidi community. —G.S.
