Film Overview

Neil (the very funny Todd Grinnell) has been married to Sarah (the charming Ali Hillis) for a few years now and, while deep in the throes of designer-furniture buying, he realizes he would rather their future go back to the past. So, in an earlier-than-necessary mid-life crisis, Neil buys a Volvo wagon similar to the one he and his bride owned while beginning their life together and talks Sarah into an impromptu vacation. Of course vacations never go as planned and the couple makes a detour to their old neighborhood, looking for a way to rekindle their love. Partying with the new generation of young lovers in Silver Lake, eating and drinking in their old haunts, and squatting in their abandoned apartment, Neil and Sarah are a 30-something couple living a 20-something life. In NESTING, director John Chuldenko gives us a hilarious look into a couple who, when looking to build their future, found help breaking into their past. – T.W.
