About This Film
Film Overview
With his parents away on a trip to Egypt, would-be writer Dani invites his best pal Nico over to spend an idyllic Mediterranean summer at the luxuious family home. The two teens envision long, lazy days at the beach, going to parties and – hopefully – finally scoring with girls, especially ripening Elena and Berta. Nico and Dani are close, verrry close, so much so that when females aren't an option (and, apparently, they haven't been very much), the two hormonal boys have habitually pleasured each other sexually, and act referred to as “krampack.” But it's not as though they're queer or anything, right? Uh, right? As their romantic endeavors with the opposite gender end, more often than not, with frustration, Dani in particular starts insisting on more and more krampacks as a substitute, Nico readily complying, but not really getting the point. At first. Director Cesc Gay has opened up Catalan playwright Jordi S?nchez' one-set stage production into a sunny, scenic, bittersweet coming-of-age comedy-drama of sexual exploration and confusion. You will never look at Beavis and Butthead the same way again, we guarantee. (In Spanish with English subtitles)
