Odessa

In the wake of World War II, Josef leads his wife Irene and their young son Rolf through the beautiful yet unforgiving Dolomites, fleeing an unnamed threat. The tender way he cares for the boy shows Josef is a devoted father.

A wrong turn leads them into a hostile village where their cover is blown. After the violent pursuit that follows, the family is torn apart. Irene stays behind with Rolf, forcing Josef to continue alone.

Against the stark backdrop of the Dolomite peaks, the truth emerges through fragmented flashbacks: the audience discovers they have been trapped in their own empathy.
