About This Film
Film Overview
Fans of Kafka, be on notice. It's the near-future, nanotechnology rules, and our hero, of course, is a computer programmer named Simon (Jeremy Sisto). One day Simon wakes to find a plain brown package in his apartment. Curiously, the bag is empty. Though he tries to secure his apartment, Simon keeps receiving strangely empty packages. Simon's paranoia about the tenants in his apartment building is warranted: security cameras follow his every move. When one tenant turns up dead, Simon goes over the edge, hallucinates, and believes that mysterious forces are taking over his life. Though he goes off the grid, Simon thinks that perhaps “Nanomites” have been placed in his brain, and try as he might, he can't ignore their messages. Ultimately a film about corporate control, it also stars Lance Henriksen, Deborah Unger and Udo Kier.
