Open Threads

Truck driver Charles Poindexter never envisioned himself as a teacher. He ran his own fashion design company, and usually outsourced the work part to others. But after taking an eight week course in sewing basics at the community space Open Threads, he realized that he loved the technical side of creating clothes, and wanted to share with others how it shaped the direction of his own life. Poindexter finds that the commonality of creating together opens up space for others who might not have met in the first place.
