Film Overview

The Lawsons are a seemingly normal family. Mother Kate (Illeana Douglas) gripes at the “grief parasites” on trashy local news, while father Will (Daniel Stern) eagerly awaits the arrival of the pizza delivery man. They are the parents of doe-eyed Riley, who is the picture of perfection, and mischievous Reed, who can't seem to stay out of trouble at school. But danger lurks on these suburban streets. In recent weeks, five teenage girls have been kidnapped, tortured to the sounds of classic rock, and dismembered. And FBI Agent Hotchkiss (Jere Burns) hasn't the slightest idea who's at fault. When Riley doesn't come home from school one day, the Lawsons find themselves embroiled in what seems all too much like the exploits of a B-list horror film. Despite the ineptitude of the authorities, the Lawsons are ready to do whatever it takes to get their baby girl back and make this brutal killer pay for what he's done. OTIS, directed by famed television producer Tony Krantz, is a black comedy thriller that's sure to make you laugh until you gag. – EJB
