Film Overview
Young Peter Driscoll has made an incredible find: an authentic Roman boat, hidden away in a cave in the hills above his coastal town. At first Peter manages to keep his discovery a secret. But the news inevitably leaks out, and the quiet little town becomes a brash, hyped-up tourist center. The lives of Peter and his friends change, too. They become caught up in high-pressure deals and watch helplessly as their parents are swept up in crass commercial schemes. When the children learn that the boat has been cursed, they set out to save their town. The confusion of celebrity and the importance of strong values are wonderfully expressed throughout PETER AND.
