PORKY PIG IN HOLLYWOOD is a compilation of 16 superlative black and white cartoons produced by the Warner Brothers animation studio in the 1930s and early 1940s, each newly restored to 35mm splendor. These films, originally designed for adults, display an astonishing richness of sophisticated wit, outlandish verbal and visual puns, surrealistic imagery and utterly-inspired storylines. Tex Avery, Friz Freleng and Chuck Jones are among the animators represented.
