About This Film
Film Overview
A complex cat-and-mouse game that jumps the pond from Mexico to Britain, RABBIT ON THE MOON is a tight thriller involving highly placed political figures, characters named Crazy Man and Chubby, and an innocent young family. Mexican-Brit couple Antonio and Julie live in Mexico City with a baby girl. They want to buy land to build a house, but when they find out the owner is involved in a political assassination, they back away. But not far enough. Antonio becomes a needed scapegoat for the bungled assassination and becomes a fugitive, escaping to the U.K. Julie and the baby are kidnapped by government officials. As the story builds suspense moving from Mexico to Britain and back again, the twists and turns are echoed in the visuals: the Mexican footage is in film, the British in high-definition video. But corrupted officials are universal.
