Carnage flies and blood gushes over five terrifying tales of terror—haunted houses, vampires, and witches abound!—from some of our finest Latinx genre filmmakers, including Alejandro Brugués (“Juan of the Dead”), Demián Rugna (“Terrified”), and Eduardo Sánchez (“The Blair Witch Project”). —M.G.

A ghoulish evening begins in an interrogation room as the sole survivor of a mysterious massacre is pulled in for questioning. Known only as The Traveler, this man can merely relay what happened with his shared account of unexplainable occult happenings, offering a cabal of strange and scary stories of vampires, portals to the afterlife, Nahuales myth, and lovers reunited in possibly evil circumstances. Meanwhile, a demonic presence bent on destruction is headed their way. SATANIC HISPANICS is an unpredictable anthology horror film that spans genres and influences—to alternatingly terrifying, shocking, and hilarious effect—with each part told through the unique style and perspective of a different Latinx filmmaker. —C.F.
