About This Film
Film Overview
Following a record-breaking world premiere in Seattle, SITTING DUCKS was acclaimed as “American comedy at its best” by the Arizona Republic. With $750,000 stuffed into the tires of their Cadillac limousine, two would-be crooks hightail it to the Florida coast, where their dreams of early retirement on easy street hinge on catching a flight to Costa Rica. But their love of two women (one full of woe, the other of sexual zeal) stands in their way. Director Jaglom, working with a budget under one million dollars, has created a film in which obsessions, neuroses and aspirations, rather than visual gags or punch lines, provide the humor. Jaglom's message is clear: “Life is worth living.” “Emil and Norman are the Laurel and Hardy of our age of anxiety.” – The Seattle Post-Intelligencer
