STATIC tells the story of a young man who, after suffering from the deaths of his parents in an automobile accident, discovers a unique way to deal with their loss. His attempts to demonstrate his “invention” to his friends leads to tragic consequences, but STATIC is no morbid meditation on mortality, fate, and the hereafter. It's a warm, funny, and wonderfully off-beat film, with a stunning visual flair that belies the low budget of the independent production.
