Film Overview

Synopsis: “Stone Birds” is a narrative short film that follows Payton and Morgan, 20-somethings who live in a van. They spend their days doing and selling drugs around town. After their typical day of “work,” we find Payton and Morgan in a suburban neighborhood where Payton becomes enamored by a pair of stone bird porch ornaments. He attempts to steal them, leading him and Morgan to be confronted by Audrey, a teenage girl who witnessed the robbery through the window. Audrey tries to stop them as Payton continuously taunts her. This leads to a physical confrontation that ultimately results in Audrey’s death. Payton and Morgan’s relationship is tested as they navigate the emotional and physical repercussions of their actions, embodied by Audrey’s vengeful brother, Abraham.
