Street of Departures

On the seamy waterfronts of Le Havre and the outskirts of Paris, the streets provide a poetically violent milieu for Paul (Francois Cluzet, 'ROUND MIDNIGHT') an escaped convict, and Clara, fleeing the middle class. From different worlds, the two are on the run, each filled with hate and a need to kill. Paul is obsessed with avending the death of his father while Clara's estrangement from her father (Gerard Depardieu) leads her towards a path of despair and destruction. Crossing their paths are a pimp bent on luring Clara into his clutches and Mimi, who has already fallen into his trap, with only one way out. Yet there is romance to be found along the edges of these streets of desperation …
