About This Film
Film Overview
Martha and Claudia could never have imagined the impact they'd have on each other's lives when they randomly met in the hospital. Martha, a cancer patient, and Claudia, recovering from an appendix removal, were placed in the same room to heal. But they came from different worlds—single mom Martha was surrounded by her noisy kids, while no one came to visit Claudia. When the family spots Claudia walking home from the hospital alone, they offer her a ride and invite her to dinner. While Martha downplays the severity of her health, cancer is clearly taking its toll. It's also obvious that Claudia has no family, despite her claims otherwise. As time goes by, Claudia begins to spend most of her time at their house, forming bonds with the kids and making life easier for Martha. For both sides, it's a match made in heaven. But, as Martha's condition worsens, they will all have to face the idea of life without her. As evidenced by the beautiful relationship in THE AMAZING CATFISH, family extends beyond blood.
