About This Film
Film Overview
Twelve-year-old Dan Love and his two younger brothers live in a posh New York townhouse with their mother, Candice, an attractive but scattered young heiress whose husband has abandoned her. For this single mom, her boys have become increasingly unmanageable, tenifying her and nearly destroying their home. Dan, an alienated and disturbed child filled with unusually severe adolescent aggression, fights his way through a series of institutions, but seems beyond help. When he is finally thrown out of the last hospital willing to treat him, his mother is forced to take him home, only to face a dangerous showdown. Karen Young as Candice and Harley Cross as Dan are both truly spellbinding in Juan Jose Campanella's disturbing and powerful feature debut.
