Pertii Kurikka's Nimipäivät is a four-piece Finnish band whose members all suffer from mental disabilities. In many ways they embrace the spirit of punk rock more than most groups today could ever dream. The loud, angsty genre provides the perfect vehicle for them to express their frustrations. On a daily basis they experience a variety of obstacles, from condescending handlers, to issues over their own independence, to their confusion and frustration with the “normal” world around them.
