About This Film
Film Overview
Each evening, Manek Mulla, a young bachelor, has a collection of friends gather at his house to discuss literature and life and enjoy his skill as a raconteur and teller of tales. Imaginative and loquacious, Manek weaves fact and fiction to create mystical tales of romance, love and separation. The film takes place over two days, during which he tells three stories about himself-his boyhoood, adolescence, adulthood, and affairs of the heart. As each is completed, the group discusses their apparent truthfulness, what they might mean, and what moral they might suggest. Manek tells his tales in an effort to define what love is. But in the end, he and his friends must conclude that, even after experiencing it in many forms, they still can't really define love. In Hindi with English subtitles.
