Featuring one of the final performances of legendary actor Richard Roundtree (“Shaft”).After receiving a frantic phone call from a scammer pretending to be her grandson, 93-year-old Thelma rushes to mail the money demanded of her as soon as possible. When the police inform her there’s little chance of ever getting it back, and her family begins talks of assisted living, Thelma sneaks off in search of justice. With the help of her friend, Ben, and his souped-up motorized scooter, Thelma takes to the streets of L.A. to track down the people who stole from her. Starring the multi-talented June Squibb, in her first leading role, and the late Richard Roundtree in his final film role, THELMA is a hilarious action comedy full of irresistible charm and energy.
