TIME OF THE SERVANTS

Dana is a timid and lonely woman, entirely lacking in self?confidence. When her boyfriend leaves her, she is devastated and clings to the comfort of her friends, Lenka and Milan, a young couple who take her in. Their support helps her regain her strength, to the point where she convinces Milan to marry her “just for a few weeks” to avenge her ex?lover. But after the ceremony she becomes a self?confident conniver who seduces Milan into real wedded life. Through charming betrayals, hysterical demands, and the manipulation of the weaknesses of others, Dana constructs a glamorous new life for herself, simultaneously reducing her husband to a submissive appendage and advancing his career at the Ministry of Foreign Trade.
