Nine-year-old Topele, who can't pronounce all his vowels but can find words for boyish mischief and unintentional matchmaking, may well be immortalized in Israel's first color musical. The story reveals the warmth, the heart and the gentle satire of its creator Sholem Aleichem at his best.
