Film Overview

An important event occurred for Nick and his family at the catastrophic Ten Cent Beer Night Cleveland Indians game in 1974. Now, 40 years later, that alcohol-fueled chaos will be replicated in the beautiful Lakewood, Ohio home of Cody, Nick's younger brother. Cody has married a rich woman with a seductive daughter and a nerdy son. He has invited Nick over to share Christmas Eve dinner. Nick, a self-described “gross and disgusting man,” hates his younger brother. When this foul-mouthed, heavy drinking, chain-smoking wrecking ball walks in the door with a bagful of booze, let the games begin. Watch in twisted delight as the holiday is ushered in with fighting, sexting, infidelity, and more than one awful secret revealed. All with a parallel and detailed history throughout of that fateful game in '74. UNCLE NICK will have you howling with horrified laughter at things you know you shouldn't find funny. You will even witness the nastiest gift-exchanging tradition ever devised. Grab a beer and come over. It's a nine-inning meltdown of decorum and decency with no seventh-inning stretch. —C.R.
