The Salmon sisters are native Alaskans whose people have been successfully stewarding this land and the fishery for over 10,000 years. As they dig into the facts, they uncover a web of lies and backdoor deals that work against the interests of the local community and dismiss all reputable science. Their journey illuminates issues and atrocities systemic to the mining industry—capitalism, colonialism, extraction, destruction, and deception—and the fundamental tension between a shrinking planet and a world order addicted to eternal growth and consumption.
