Film Overview
A feature-length animated film for adults, VAMPIRES IN HAVANA is a fast-paced, imaginative sendup of horror and gangster movies in the bawdy spirit of FRITZ THE CAT. Professor von Dracula, a Transylvanian vampire and scientist living in Cuba, has developed a potion called Vampisol, which allows vampires to survive the sunlight. When he announces his intention to donate his formula free of charge to vampires all over the world, the Vampire Mafia from Chicago and the European Brotherhood of Vampires from Dusseldorf try to muscle in and steal the formula. A lively and farcical conculsion highlights this unique Cuban amalgamation of Walt Disney and SCARFACE.
