The zombies are the least of their worries! From RKSS, the Montréal filmmakers behind sci-fi cult hit “Turbo Kid” and mystery thriller “Summer of 84,” comes this splatter-happy blast of zom-com fiendishness as a trio of post-apocalyptic con artists run afoul of the corporation they’ve been swindling.The undead have risen to walk the earth, but they’re just kind of…there? In a world where zombies, sorry, the “living impaired” exist alongside humans, most of the classic zombie tropes are out the window. Many can talk, hold jobs, and fall in love; and none have a craving for human brains. Although they pose no real threat, they’re still walking corpses. So sending living-impaired loved ones into retirement with a pharmaceutical corporation has become the norm. When three slackers devise a scheme to profit off stealing retirees from under the corporation’s nose, they have no idea the bloody mess they’re getting themselves into. With zombie cam girls, nefarious military plots, and callbacks to Romero classics, this wacky spin on zombie invasions is outrageously fun.
