We Never Sleep

Mikaela, a lifelong conspiracy theorist, warns her husband Austin about a swarm of online monsters said to attack those the internet decides deserve punishment. Known only as the Mob, these entities—made of anger, outrage, and pile-ons—are believed to be born from a culture that leaves no room for mistakes, growth, or nuance. Austin dismisses the idea as paranoia, until a joke he believed was harmless sets the Mob in motion, and the warnings begin to feel uncomfortably real.
Soon after, Mikaela senses something following them, an unseen force feeding on judgment, certainty, and rage. Fear seeps into their home, and sleep becomes impossible. What started as online backlash refuses to stay online, growing closer, louder, and harder to escape. As the Mob closes in, Austin and Mikaela are forced to confront the cost of living in a world where a single misstep can spark relentless punishment. What begins as an online backlash spirals into something far more terrifying, leaving Mikaela to face a haunting question: when the Mob comes for you, is there any escape—or does its fury consume everything in its path?
