WHAT THE MOON SAW

In this truly delightful film, Steven, a nine year old from the Australian outback, goes alone for the first time to spend a week with his grandmother in the big city. Steven's grandmother, once a vaudevillian with “the world's greatest legs,” now works in the box office of a theatre where, this week, the troupe is performing a play called “Sinbad's Last Adventure.” While Steven watches the rehearsals, he becomes fascinated with Sinbad and the Princess. Through this infatuation, Steven, too, becomes Sinbad, rescues a princess of his own, and triumphs over evil. By the end of the week, the once shy little boy has grown years wiser, and will never have to be afraid of the dark again.
