White Night

A soulless real estate mogul, Ulrik Nymann is sleep walking through his existence. It's a nonstop party scene of drugs, sex, and entertaining with his beautiful wife. He's also plagued by a complicated family history filled with mysteries, denial, and regret. One night he and his colleagues stop by a local bar for a last drink before heading home. Confrontational words are exchanged with one of the belligerent regulars and Ulrik gives him an unintentional, but lethal, shove. He is exonerated from all wrongdoing and everyone– his boss, his wife, his friends, and his coworkers– expect him to act as if nothing has changed; but it has, irrevocably so. Ulrik anonymously encounters the drunk's widow, Karina, and her two children. Trying to make good to her with gifts and money, Ulrik begins an odyssey of hoped-for redemption. And a quest for a meaningful life. Just when he seems to be on track, everything unhinges again. Will Karina be the first to finally understand him? Is it too late?
