About This Film
Film Overview
In the words of the Master of Suspense, Alfred Hitchcock – out of context but apropos – what is the trouble with Harry? Michel takes his wife and children out to their summer home in the French countryside. At a rest stop Michel is suddenly hailed by an erstwhile school chum, Harry. At least Harry claims to be an old pal. He knows intimate details about Michel's earlier days, and talks his way into joining the family (bringing along a sexy girlfriend) for the rest of the trip. Magnetic, spontaneous and full of surprises, Harry seems to represent all the freedom that Michel lost when he settled into marriage and work, and the convivial guest gradually grows to dominate the little group. But what bother Michel more and more is that he still can't remember having set eyes on Harry before. Ever. And that should have been Michel's first warning sign . . . WITH A FRIEND LIKE HARRY . . . has chilled audiences worldwide with its mindgames and mounting tension. Now Cleveland can make Harry's acquaintance, in a psychothriller that will have you, too, looking warily over your shoulder, at the gregarious stranger at the next highway diner. Or in the next theater seat. (In French with English subtitles)
