The Cleveland International Film Festival promotes artistically and culturally significant film arts through education and exhibition to enrich the life of the community.

The Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) is very proud to announce it is the recipient of a $15,000 grant from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in support of 41stCIFF’s “Furthering Our Focus on Filmmakers of the African Diaspora” programming.
The CIFF is one of 45 entities receiving funding under the Academy’s FilmCraft and FilmWatch programs during this grant year. More than 200 proposals were submitted as part of the process.
The grant impacted several aspects of the 41stCIFF, all of which showcased under-represented filmmakers. Programming supported by this grant included:
CIFF41, presented by Dollar Bank, celebrated a record-breaking year with 106,504 attendees during its 12-day run. The Festival showcased 202 feature films, 216 short films, 14 virtual reality films, and 8 interactive media projects – all of which represented 71 countries.
